President and Vice-President

Well known for their “POP” and relentless energy – Jermaine and ShaKimberly Cooper, Founded AES Literacy Institute in 2019. As President and Vice-President of the organization they devote 100% of their time to managing and operating their venture. Jermaine and ShaKimberly both came from deprived social and economic backgrounds they serve but managed to defeat the odds and become successful business owners that play a significant part in community development. Although neither has a PhD and Master’s degree; when it comes to addressing the sensitive and sometimes extreme needs that our organization plans to tackle, firsthand knowledge, overcoming personal hardships, and life experience are most suitable. Marriage has provided them over 13 years of experience working together. This powerful, dynamic team has tackled everything together from life’s unrelenting challenges to the everyday woes of business operations. In their free time they enjoy traveling, playing chess, visiting the opera, playing Just Dance video game for fitness and fun, and just living life with a smile!
